How to read a COA
Three things to check
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is an independent lab’s report on one specific batch. Here’s how to make sense of yours.
1. Match the batch
The batch or lot number on the COA matches the one printed on your label.
2. Check the cannabinoids
The total CBD (and any CBG or CBN) on the report lines up with what the label claims.
3. Check the date
A COA is good for 18 months from its test date. The fresher the batch, the better.
